Location & Overview
Gujranwala Division is one of the nine administrative divisions of Punjab, Pakistan. It is located in the northeastern part of the province and comprises six districts:
- Gujranwala
- Gujrat
- Sialkot
- Hafizabad
- Mandi Bahauddin
- Narowal
The division is an economic and industrial hub, known for its manufacturing sector, especially in textiles, ceramics, cutlery, and sports goods. Sialkot, a key district, is internationally recognized for producing world-class sports equipment. Gujranwala itself is famous for its sports culture, making it an ideal region for the growth of flying disc sports.
Gujranwala Division Flying Disc Association (GDFDA)
The Gujranwala Division Flying Disc Association (GDFDA) operates under the Punjab Flying Disc Association (PFDA), which is affiliated with the Pakistan Flying Disc Federation (PFDF). The association is dedicated to promoting flying disc sports across the division, including Ultimate Frisbee, Disc Golf, and Double Disc Court (DDC).
General Secretary – Muhammad Saeed
Muhammad Saeed serves as the General Secretary of the Gujranwala Division Flying Disc Association. Under his leadership, the association is actively working to:
✅ Organize flying disc tournaments and inter-district competitions.
✅ Conduct training camps and coaching clinics for young athletes.
✅ Collaborate with schools, colleges, and sports organizations to promote flying disc sports.
✅ Represent Gujranwala Division in provincial and national flying disc events.
Role within PFDF
As part of the Pakistan Flying Disc Federation (PFDF), the Gujranwala Division Flying Disc Association follows the national guidelines to ensure standardization and professionalism in flying disc sports. Their efforts contribute to the development of players, helping them compete at national and international levels.
